Residents and visitors taking a stroll along the Southsea prom are encouraged to go and check out a brand new pop up al fresco café and bar which opens this coming weekend, just in time for the Easter holidays.

The new South Terrace café and bar is located just behind BH Live Active Pyramids and Exploria, a short distance from the recently transformed prom. The café is accessible to all, with ramped access leading to stunning sea views across the Solent.
It will be open seven days a week (weather dependent), serving up hot and cold drinks, coffees, toasties, sandwiches, paninis, and sweet treats including ice creams, muffins, and doughnuts. Hot food includes 9” Margherita, Pepperoni, Hawaiian, and BBQ Chicken pizzas.
This new attraction has been funded by BH Live, the registered charity that runs BH Live Active Pyramids and Exploria in partnership with Portsmouth City Council.
Mathijs Pol, BH Live’s Head of Hospitality said: “We are so lucky to be in such a fantastic spot with amazing views – with all the recent investment to improve Southsea prom, our new pop up café and bar to the rear of Pyramids is a great addition to the area.
“We will also be open during festivals and sporting events to give visitors a great place to stop off for a bite to eat and drink, opening times and menu may vary.”
The South Terrace at Pyramids operates a challenge 25 policy for anyone purchasing alcohol. Alcohol purchased at the South Terrace at Pyramids must be consumed on the premises.
Public toilet and baby changing facilities, operated by Portsmouth City Council, are located along the promenade. Accessible toilet facilities are available inside Exploria at Pyramids during centre opening times.
A pay and display car park operates next to Pyramids, managed by Portsmouth City Council. Free parking is also available along Clarence Esplanade after 6pm – see road signage for details and restrictions.
